In conjunction with the funeral that will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 11 March, at 3 pm, in Sedilo , the birthplace of Don Paolino Fancello , the Municipality of Bosa has declared a day of mourning , inviting the population to unite in remembering a man who left a profound mark on the recent history of the city, a much-loved figure and a point of reference for the entire community.

Mayor Alfonso Marras and the City Council expressed their condolences on behalf of all citizens for a loss that leaves a void that will be difficult to fill. "Don Paolino was not just a priest," a statement reads, "his presence marked decades of spiritual, social, and cultural life. With his pastoral commitment, his closeness to the most vulnerable, and his ability to build bonds, he accompanied generations of Bosan citizens. His energy also translated into concrete projects such as the founding of Radio Planargia and the creation of the Calmedia Calcio sports club, initiatives that contributed to the growth of young people and the community."

"In this moment of grief," the statement continues, "we express our sincere sympathy to his family, the Diocese, the parish community, and all those who shared life experiences with him that will remain indelible." What will remain etched in our hearts above all will be his style of humility, kindness, listening, and faith lived with simplicity and dedication.
