Fire emergency in Sulcis-Iglesiente.
The SuperPuma, departing from Fenosu, was also called in to battle the large fire that broke out this afternoon on the outskirts of Domusnovas, in the Pilinga area. Shortly thereafter, two Canadair aircraft were also called in. The flames initially threatened homes.
Maximum alert also in Carbonia, where State Road 126 has been closed.

According to reports from residents of the threatened area on Via Zurigo , the fire in Domunsnovas started after several explosions were heard coming from some pylons. Investigations will begin to determine the cause once the danger has passed. Meanwhile, two helicopters from the regional fleet, a SuperPuma and two Canadairs, were deployed to extinguish the fire.
State road closed in Carbonia
The Carbonia front, with the fire starting from the Is Serafinis area, required the intervention of two helicopters from Pula and Villasalto. The flames reached the edge of State Road 126, which was closed as a precaution.
