Warm and colourful, the enormous 3-kilometer-long wool scarf with which, this morning, the goal of the "Fili a 4 gambe" project was achieved : to embrace in a supportive and beneficial embrace the municipalities of Domusnovas and Musei, which are separated by just under the length of the scarf itself.
Rediscovering the taste for simple things, being together in the name of brotherhood, sociality and sharing common values, was the aim of the project conceived and curated by Alma Piscedda , who has been working since May, together with the many members of the association "I fili emozioni di Alma" and the many volunteers involved, in the creation of the enormous artifact.
"Just having managed to get over 100 people to work with needle and thread - comments the creator of the project - and finding ourselves all walking together for a common goal, is a victory in itself".
Upon arrival, in a green space at the entrance to Musei, the welcome of the mayor Sasha Sais and the association Rete Donne Musei. " We can only say thank you to the many people who made this hug of solidarity possible - said the mayor - and who remind us of the great baggage of values that we have always shared". Representing Domusnovas is the deputy mayor Maria Elena Lusci: "The pace of an increasingly frenetic society is, perhaps, making us forget the most important values for all of us. The passion and spirit of brotherhood that were perceived today make us understand that we always have time to improve".
The project will live its second part on November 30th in Domusnovas , when, thanks to creative recycling, from the dismantling of the blanket we will obtain blankets and plaids to donate to the homeless, to the elderly guests of RSA and to those who, having signed up for today's initiative, want to have a colored blanket for their four-legged friend.
