New episode of violence against health workers in Cagliari . On Sunday evening, a patient, tired of waiting in the waiting room of the emergency room of the Santissima Trinità hospital, began to swear and threaten doctors and nurses.

A violent action, even if only verbally, interrupted by the arrival of the police officers : but the 52-year-old, according to the accusations, continued to scream, even trying to hit someone. In the end he ended up in handcuffs for threatening health personnel : he must also answer for interruption of public service.

And again at the Santissima Trinità, last Thursday a nurse in the infectious diseases department was pushed by a patient who did not want to receive treatment , receiving a slap.

The trail of violence that began last Tuesday with the attack on the family doctor, Roberto Sollai, who was punched in the face and ended up in hospital with a damaged eardrum, continues.

"The critical issues are increasing - the unions' alarm - and nothing is being done to help the hospital staff. You can't go to work in prohibitive conditions, with the risk of being attacked or even with the fear of not returning home".
