The best digital public communication in Italy is that of the hospital-university company of Cagliari, which was awarded the "Golden Smartphone", a recognition established by PA Social (the national association of public communication and digital information) and delivered this morning in a solemn ceremony that took place in the Commendatore's room in via Santo Spirito, in the historic headquarters of the ASL 1 in Rome, under the Vatican walls.
The award collected the nominations of 60 entities including ministries, regions, municipalities, universities, local health authorities, hospitals and foundations. The communication experiences were subjected to the scrutiny of a jury of super communication experts but also of a popular jury.
The hospital-university company of Cagliari won thanks to an integrated communication, which brings together tradition and innovation, with a very strong presence on social networks.
The latest project of the Aou of Cagliari is the Digital Public Relations Office (to which the Foundation of Sardinia also contributed), the first of its kind in Italy that guarantees citizens answers in real time, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. : from 1 January to 30 November 2021 the Urp of the Aou of Cagliari received and gave immediate responses to 22,059 reports and requests for information received both on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, Whatsapp) and with traditional means (presence, telephone, email and pec).
Thanks to the system deployed by the Aou of Cagliari, all these conversations end up in a single system, which allows operators to give assistance to patients in a very short time, allowing the company to intervene effectively to resolve critical issues.
“We are very happy with this recognition - the comment of Agnese Foddis, extraordinary commissioner of the University Hospital of Cagliari - for years our company has had a vocation for innovation and social media. For us, communication is strategic: it allows us to communicate daily with citizens, strengthening the relationship and the bond of trust between patients and the company. And not only does it allow us to intervene immediately to solve the problems that may arise, but it is also an important governance tool ".
“An important job - says Fabrizio Meloni, Head of Communication and External Relations - done by a staff of communication professionals. We are present on all social networks and the numbers reward us: we are on Facebook (with almost 23 thousand followers), Instagram (about 9 thousand), Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube, Whatsapp and Telegram. All this thanks to a great deal of work and investments that the company makes every day to support an activity that is highly appreciated by the citizens ".
