Diabetes, Sardinia first in the world for incidence: it's talked about on "Hippocrates"

The island has overtaken Finland and now has this sad world record. The most affected areas are Medio Campidano and Sulcis-Iglesiente. The news emerges in the episode of "Hippocrates" ("Diabetes and new technologies. Towards the artificial pancreas"), broadcast on Friday 5 July at 9pm on Videolina.
The focus is on new devices that improve patients' quality of life . Speakers include diabetologists Rosangela Pilosu, Paola Pisanu, Carlo Ripoli and Giancarlo Tonolo, as well as journalist Federico Mereta.
