The damage caused by the fire that broke out last night inside a dental office distributed between two floors of a building on the corner of via Nazario Sauro and via Mameli, in Cagliari , is huge, but still to be quantified.
The firefighters worked to put out the flames and to reclaim the rooms until late morning. They also returned to the site in the afternoon, after some passersby reported smoke escaping from one of the windows.
Investigations to trace the causes of the fire are still ongoing. According to an initial reconstruction, the flames started from a room in the Falconi dental office and quickly spread inside, also reaching the upper floor.
Machinery and furniture were destroyed, all the walls were blackened. It was not necessary to evacuate the building because the building houses only commercial activities and offices.
The carabinieri and the police intervened together with the firefighters, awaiting the report from the command of Viale Marconi to reconstruct the exact dynamics.
