A Nuoro city councilor, elected on Mayor Emiliano Fenu's civic list, called Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni a "fishmonger" on Facebook. Not content with this, given several users' complaints about his rudeness, he took it out on them, criticizing their indignation.

This is what Salvatore Deidda, a member of the Italian Democratic Party (FdI) and president of the Chamber of Deputies' Transport Committee, reported in a post by Francesco Guccini.

"Considering that the councilor is not realizing this on his own, I ask Nuoro Mayor Emilio Fenu," Deidda continued, "to dissociate himself and distance himself. If the councilor does not apologize, he should demand his resignation from his majority."
