The Carabinieri of Decimomannu have reported a 43-year-old from Decimoputzu for receiving stolen goods and recycling vehicles. The operation took place this morning on a piece of land owned by the man, who is unemployed and already known to the police, in the Senis area, where the soldiers found a stolen car and five cans of untraceable diesel.
During the inspection, a Fiat Panda was found with the chassis number scratched off, presumably to prevent its identification. Technical checks allowed us to trace the identity of the vehicle, which was found stolen on March 4, with a complaint filed with the Carabinieri Station of Sestu .
The men of the Arma also found five cans containing about 100 liters of diesel and an electronic control unit for a car , both of dubious origin and without documentation. All the material has been subjected to criminal seizure, while investigations continue to establish the exact origin of the fuel and the control unit. The investigations are also examining any possible connections with similar episodes of theft or illicit activities in the sector of recycling vehicles and mechanical components.
