Widespread checks were conducted overnight to ensure food hygiene and road safety. The Carabinieri of Decimomannu, with the support of the Cagliari Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit (NAS), conducted a coordinated check across the area, which resulted in the closure of a mobile catering business and the reporting of a young female driver.
During the inspections, the military's attention focused on a food truck operated by a 40-year-old resident of Decimomannu.
The investigations revealed serious irregularities, including the absence of the mandatory self-monitoring manual and serious violations of health and hygiene regulations.
In light of the critical issues encountered, the immediate closure of the business was ordered.
The checks were also extended to the two vehicles used for commercial purposes: both were found to lack mandatory insurance coverage and were therefore seized. The owner was fined a total of approximately €7,000.
In the same operational context, officers reported a 29-year-old resident of Iglesias, with no criminal record, who was stopped while driving her car. A breathalyzer test showed she tested positive with a blood alcohol level of 1.7 grams per liter, well above the legal limit. Her driving license was immediately revoked.
