The story of the Alghero mother who said she had to move to Veneto to provide her daughter with services, assistance, socialization, and inclusion continues to fuel political debate in Alghero.
Following the intervention of the Sardinian Reformers, Brothers of Italy (FdI) called for overcoming the conflict and accelerating the construction of a day center in the city. "There are issues on which politicians should not be divided, but rather unite in the interests of the city and its families. This is one of them," FdI stated. The party emphasized that the project was not starting from scratch.
"The process, born from the determination of the families and the Durante Noi Committee, had already begun to take shape during the administration led by Mario Conoci, through discussions between the Municipality and the Local Health Authority, and was subsequently continued by the current administration. Now we need to take the decisive step," they explain, referring to the project for a new day center on Via Tarragona.
A cross-party action is needed: the opposition should activate its own channels with the national government and institutional representatives, while the majority is asked to use its dialogue with the Sardinia Region.
