Carabinieri from the Olbia Territorial Unit are conducting a rapid investigation into an incident that occurred today in Porto Rotondo. One man has been arrested and another has been identified and is being sought after an assault inside an apartment.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was taken by surprise, beaten, and robbed, with the loot reportedly amounting to approximately €400. The details of the incident are still unclear, but the two alleged perpetrators of the raid reportedly had contact with the victim through a messaging and dating platform before the attack. Subsequently, after insistent and repeated phone calls demanding money, the two robbers broke into the apartment and forced the victim to hand over the money.

The Carabinieri are investigating the incident to determine the motive for the attack and the demand for money. Investigations have been opened for the crimes of assault, attempted extortion, and robbery. The arrested person may appear before the Tempio District Judge tomorrow morning for validation.
