The beach entrances at the fifth stop of Poetto are inaccessible.

It's Harry's fault, but not only that. While January's cyclone damaged the walkways that lead down to the beach from the Lungomare promenade, making even the first stretch of beach near the kiosks uneven, the situation is worsened by the lack of maintenance and, perhaps, the shortsightedness of some. Namely, those who drove their heavy vehicles over the boards separating the road from the dunes, and thus broke them.

The scene of degradation is confirmed by images posted online by Franco Anedda, who lives in the Poetto area and is a close observer of local events.

The abandonment of walkways and benches dates back to a period long before the cyclone. And the return of the sun, which brought Cagliari residents back to their beach in large numbers, has illuminated the neglect.
