Work begins. Along with tourists' cars, construction workers will arrive on the Sulcitana. This will likely cause traffic disruption. The Municipality of Pula announces that work will begin on June 8th on the Sulcitana (SS 195) to repair the section of road damaged by the fury of Cyclone Harry last January.

According to ANAS, the work will be completed by the end of July. The affected section is between km 7+200 and km 8+900. During the work, traffic will be maintained towards Capoterra, while traffic towards Cagliari will be diverted along the Macchiareddu consortium road and provincial road 2.

Pula Mayor Walter Cabasino expressed his concerns: "Carrying out the work in June and July would create inconvenience for tourists and residents during an already critical period for traffic on State Road 195. The regional councilor for public works and the Anas department manager," he added, "have emphasized that moving the work to the fall, for administrative reasons, would, however, lengthen the timeframe, exposing the already damaged road to potential new storm surges that would cause the complete closure of State Road 195. We hope the work can be completed even before the time stipulated in the contract."
