«What is happening on flights with territorial continuity on the Alghero-Rome route is simply unheard of». The regional general secretary of Filt Cgil Sardinia Arnaldo Boeddu is alarmed by the cuts on the connection with Fiumicino: 12 fewer frequencies per week for the entire month of August.

«In the month in which the highest passenger traffic is recorded, the Aeroitalia company, on the days falling on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the month of August, cancels the flight departing from Alghero to Rome at 11.10 am. But, if this were not enough - the leader of Filt Cgil blurts out -, on the days falling on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday he cancels the flight departing from Alghero for Rome at 3.10pm. It is unthinkable that we can accept such a situation and a reduction in daily frequencies from four to three." Boeddu is now pushing for the Region to find a solution.

«Because in this way - underlines Arnaldo Boeddu - it is no longer territorial continuity, but a true free market is being established. We will see in the next few days whether this decision was taken by the Aeroitalia company following the results of the tender on territorial continuity from Cagliari and Olbia to Rome and Milan" closes Boeddu.
