An accident occurred in Sassari around 5:00 PM this afternoon. Firefighters responded to a collision between a car and a van on the Sassari-Ittiri highway, immediately after Piandanna. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Upon their arrival, the emergency responders, along with 118, stabilized the driver of a car and then began extricating him using a spreader and shears to free the man trapped inside the vehicle. Both drivers were taken to the emergency room. Carabinieri and local police were also on scene.
