Contagions and Covid hospitalizations are decreasing in Sardinia, but even today there are a significant number of deaths, 6 in the last 24 hours.
With just under 10 thousand swabs performed, the positivity rate drops from 12% to 10.3%.
Here is the bulletin on the epidemic in the island, released by the Region on Sunday 20 February 2022: “In Sardinia today there are 976 (yesterday 1,355, ed) further confirmed cases of COVID positivity (of which 769 diagnosed by antigenic). A total of 9444 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic.
The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 26 (-2).
The patients admitted to the medical area are 369 (-2).
35776 are the cases of home isolation (+ 3).
There are 6 deaths (yesterday 5 victims, ed): 1 92-year-old woman residing in the province of Southern Sardinia; 2 women of 86 and one of 93 and 2 men of 85 and 89, all residing in the province of Sassari ".
Based on the new data, the total cases recorded in Sardinia since the beginning of the pandemic have risen to 165,967, while the total victims of the virus on the island in these two years of emergency are updated to 1,990.
