In Sardinia there are the first two cases of Omicron 2, the variant of Covid-19.
They were isolated by the Laboratory of Clinical Chemical Analysis and Microbiology of the Aou of Cagliari, which is based at the "Duilio Casula" Polyclinic. The patients are a 67-year-old woman residing in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, currently in home isolation, and an 82-year-old man from the province of Oristano.
