The decline in Covid-19 positives per 100 thousand inhabitants continues in Sardinia. In the week between 29 September and 5 October they amounted to 119 while in the previous survey period they were 206.
The data was processed by the Gimbe Foundation in the usual monitoring on Thursday.
However, there is an increase in new cases (5%) compared to the previous week after three weeks of decrease.
Finally, the number of beds in the medical area (7%) and in intensive care (9%) occupied by Covid patients remain below the saturation threshold.
VACCINES - Also according to the monitoring, the Sardinians who have completed the vaccination cycle are 74.2 percent (the Italian average is 72.4), to which another 4.3 percent must be added who received only the first dose.
The over 50s who have not received any dose are 9.7%, slightly above the Italian average which reaches 9.5%, while the vaccination coverage rate for third doses is 0.8% (Italy average 2 , 4%). According to the national report, the Sardinians vaccinated with two doses or the single dose, in absolute terms, are 1,186,777, while the total administrations amount to 2,395,480, or 87.1% of the 2,751,713 delivered to the island by the structure. commissioner.
