Covid, in Sardinia the new infections drop by over a third in 7 days
Still above the saturation threshold, but still decreasing, the number of hospital beds occupied

New cases of Covid-19 in Sardinia fell by more than a third (-34.1%) compared to the previous week.
Between 23 February and 1 March, according to the monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation, there is also an improving performance for the cases currently positive per 100,000 inhabitants (1,850).
The incidence in all the provinces is decreasing: Oristano reaches 790 per 100 thousand inhabitants, Southern Sardinia at 521, the metropolitan city of Cagliari at 494, Sassari at 492 and Nuoro closes with 278 per 100 thousand inhabitants.
The number of beds occupied by positive patients in the medical area (19.1%) and in intensive care (12.7%) still remain above the saturation threshold, but in any case the decline.
IN ITALY - The reduction of new Covid cases continues in the country for the fifth week in a row. From 23 February to 1 March they were 275,376 compared to 349,122 the previous week, equal to -21.1%. Deaths also fell, which were 1,488 compared to 1,828 in the week of February 16-22, equal to -18.6%.
The provinces with an incidence exceeding 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants drop to 42, among the others Oristano (790) and South Sardinia (521).
In one week, rapid swabs fell by 13.3% (-330.453) and molecular swabs by 10.7% (-87.943) at the country level. The 7-day moving average of the positivity rate of molecular swabs goes from 11.1% to 9%, while for the rapid antigenic ones from 10.4% to 9.8%.
