Repair work on the Sacoi 1 power line concluded today at Rena Bianca, the iconic beach of Santa Teresa Gallura.

A specialized company worked on the beach for two weeks on behalf of Terna. Repairing the power line (the Tuscany-Corsica-Sardinia connection) was essential for Terna to ensure the power line remained fully operational and prevent blackouts on the island.

The project, which involves the delicate ecosystem of Rena Bianca (the pipeline passes over the beach), has long been at the center of controversy and tension between Terna and the Municipality, led by Nadia Matta and assisted by the lawyer Gian Comita Ragnedda.

The Terna administration requested a €2 million environmental guarantee, and Terna appealed to the Lazio Regional Administrative Court (TAR) to block the Sardinian municipality's measures.

Work finally began and was completed today, based on an agreement between the Sassari Prefecture, the Teresino Municipality, and Terna representatives. The beach is now fully accessible again.
