Construction equipment stolen from a school in Quartu: a 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of aggravated theft, illegal possession of ammunition, and narcotics for the purpose of trafficking; his brother has been charged . Last night, officers from the Quartu police station, following a report on the 112 emergency line, responded to a school where two men had been reported climbing over the fence and removing construction materials from inside.

The patrol officers, arriving on the scene, surprised the two youths inside the schoolyard, who then climbed over the fence and fled in opposite directions. The officers arrested one of the two fugitives. After forcing open the school's front door, the criminals had stolen construction materials and equipment from the internal construction site, set up for renovation work on the building, which had already been placed outside for easier transportation (estimated value of the recovered materials: approximately €2,500). A subsequent search of the twenty-six-year-old's home led to the discovery and seizure of 80 grams of ketamine, packaging materials, and six shotgun shells . The officers then located the second youth (24), the brother and accomplice of the twenty-six-year-old, who has been charged at large with aggravated theft.

The facts ascertained by the police officers against the twenty-six-year-old were submitted to the judicial authorities for evaluation and, following the validation of the arrest, the young man was placed under house arrest.
