Fifteen stands set up with fresh, seasonal, zero-mile produce, and facilities for free check-ups and promoting prevention and healthy lifestyles: the outdoor spaces of the Mater Olbia Hospital are hosting the Amica per la Salute Campaign, promoted by Coldiretti , which involves seventy Italian hospitals. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of choosing a healthy, locally sourced diet and avoiding the consumption of highly processed foods, which are increasingly associated with the onset of disease.

«This initiative allows us to reaffirm the link between good food and health, which begins at the table », said the CEO of Mater, Giovanni Paolo D'Incecco Bayard de Volo .

During the farmers' market, parking at the Mater is free for those purchasing produce from the stalls, which will be open until 1 p.m. The Gallura Local Health Authority (ASL) is also participating in the event, and speakers included Olbia's mayor, Settimo Nizzi, Coldiretti's regional director, Luca Saba, and the national president of Donne Coldiretti, Maria Francesca Serra.
