They sold cocaine, in small doses, with very rapid exchanges that could even take place in the middle of the street . In trouble two men arrested by the Carabinieri of the Alghero Company at the end of a complex investigation aimed at preventing and combating drug dealing .

In particular, the precautionary measures were issued by the GIP Office at the Court of Sassari, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sassari who coordinated the investigations conducted by the military of the Arma between November 2024 and April 2025.
Thanks to the investigations conducted , the military have ascertained that the two suspects, in competition with each other and with well-defined roles, had set up in the Municipality of Alghero " an efficient retail sales activity of narcotic substances of the cocaine type characterized by very rapid drug-money exchanges, some of which were systematic and consolidated over time by place and time of the sale, while others were preceded by quick and cryptic agreements between the parties", as stated in a note from the Carabinieri.

The investigation began almost by chance, following a check near a school complex. Here one of the arrested had been stopped while he was busy selling about 2 grams of cocaine.

Overall, approximately 350 sales were documented in just over four months, also establishing that in the period of the investigations alone, those arrested had in possession approximately 1 kg of cocaine sold in doses to buyers .

A search of a "logistics base" of the suspects found another 100 grams of cocaine, hidden in the kitchen hood.
At the end of the ritual activities, one of the subjects was sent to the Sassari Bancali prison, while the other was placed under house arrest.
