Climbers in difficulty in Cala Gonone, rescued during the night

Two sport climbers, engaged in activities in the natural gym known as “La Poltrona” in Cala Gonone, were rescued late yesterday evening by the fire brigade with the SAF units (speleo-alpine-river) and the CNSAS Alpine Rescue.

The two young men, aged 21 and 22, both of German nationality, found themselves in difficulty during the descent maneuvers from the rock face due to an incorrect assessment of the length of the rope in their possession.

The request for help was received by the Dorgali carabinieri who provided the continuous connection with the rescuers.

The surgery ended at 2 am.
