A fine of 30,000 euros and a warning to both Cagliari and Napoli, for what happened on Sunday during the match played at the Unipol Domus. The Sports Judge decided: the reason for the rossoblù club is for having its supporters positioned in the Curva Sud, at the 25th minute of the first half, launched three smoke bombs in the sector occupied by the supporters of the opposing team, thus worsening the climate of strong tension between the two sets of fans , so much so that the referee was forced to interrupt the match for a few minutes. Subsequently, when the situation was returning to normal, also thanks to the active collaboration of the Cagliari captain Alessandro Deiola, from the sector called Curva Nord some smoke bombs were thrown onto the pitch and a firecracker which, exploding, caused a firefighter to be slightly stunned. When the match resumed after about seven minutes, thanks also to the intervention of the Cagliari captain, and during the second half, the Cagliari supporters occupying the Curva Nord threw four firecrackers, two smoke bombs and five plastic bottles onto the pitch.
The sanction is mitigated because Cagliari, on this occasion, actually cooperated with the police and other competent authorities. For Napoli, the reason is for the banner displayed in the away section and the offensive chants towards the Cagliari fans, in addition to the throwing of three smoke bombs that caused the slight injury of a steward and a rossoblù fan .
The facts. Sunday's riots began in the 24th minute, when two smoke bombs were thrown from the away sector towards the Curva Sud, with the fans present in the adjacent area who sent them back. Afterwards, the rossoblù supporters tried to make contact with the Neapolitan ones, stopped with difficulty by the stewards present on site.
Referee La Penna had to interrupt the game for about six minutes, with the restart taking place in the 32nd minute but without the cessation of the throwing of smoke bombs and firecrackers, even from the Curva Nord towards the pitch . The Police also intervened, with numerous officers deployed in riot gear on the edge of the pitch under the away sector.
