Clash at the "accursed" crossroads for Bancali: the roundabout is awaited

Another accident on the ex 131, at the junction leading to Bancali and Platamona, yet another collision between cars which confirms the dangers of that stretch of road, on the border between Sassari and Porto Torres.

A rear-end collision between a Ford Fiesta and a Citroen Berlingo, fortunately without serious consequences, which saw the intervention of the local police of Sassari, re-proposed the problem of the central reservation roundabout planned by the Province, a project equal to 600 thousand euros to put an end to too many accidents, some even fatal, that marked that crossroads that many consider "cursed".

It is becoming increasingly urgent to build the infrastructure to regulate the traffic, even if the process promises to be long and complex, with an expropriation phase prior to the works. In recent days, the approval of the variant to the general master plan by the Porto Torres municipal council is a further step forward for the safety and improvement of the connection with the road axis for Sassari.
