Investigators continue to piece together the mystery of the murder of Cinzia Pinna, the 33-year-old woman from Castelsardo killed with three gunshots to the face on the night between September 11th and 12th.
Emanuele Ragnedda, a 41-year-old businessman from Arzachena, confessed to the murder, having shot the woman inside his estate, Conca Entosa, located between Palau and Arzachena.
Despite the confession, the man's story still presents numerous inconsistencies with what the Carabinieri have reconstructed so far.
The discrepancies concern in particular the dynamics of the murder, the position of the body at the time of the shots and the scene found in the farmhouse where the crime took place.
In addition to the Carabinieri RIS and the coroner, Salvatore Lorenzoni, the public prosecutor, Noemi Mancini, and the prosecutor Grgorio Capasso, were present. Also present were the lawyers for the parties: Antonella Cuccureddu, lawyer for the Pinna family; Nicoletta and Maurizio Mani, defense attorneys for Luca Franciosi; Luca Montella, lawyer for Emanuele Ragnedda; and Francesco Umberto Furnari, defense attorney for Maria Rosa Elvo.
Cinzia Pinna's body had been hidden for twelve days on the large property, in an isolated spot near a tree, before Ragnedda himself indicated the location during his confession, which took place on September 24 at the Carabinieri barracks in Palau.
One of the main issues to be resolved is the exact position of the body at the time of the killing. The autopsy confirmed the presence of three gunshot wounds, consistent with Ragnedda's testimony, but doubts remain about other elements of his version. The businessman, without explicitly claiming self-defense, said he was attacked by Cinzia Pinna with a knife and felt threatened. The investigation, coordinated by the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, aims to accurately reconstruct the young woman's last hours of life and shed light on every aspect of the murder.
