Cheremule appears to be fertile ground for those who wish to live long. The small town of Meilogu of just over 400 inhabitants already counts four centenarians, or rather centenarians.
After Aunt Bonaria Paddeu, Aunt Angeledda Uras and Aunt Ottavia Bagiella (the latter will blow out her 101 candles next December), now it's Aunt Antonietta Manchia's turn.
A life, her, entirely dedicated to her large family: married at the age of twenty, she gave birth to ten children (of which the last with a triplets, which went down in history as one of the first in our nation, so much so that give her an article in the Giornale d'Italia in the 1950s). Five of them unfortunately died at a young age.
To celebrate her, in addition to her family and the mayor of Cheremule Antonella Chessa, who gave her a silver rosary and a bouquet of roses with the parchment of the birth certificate in the name of the community of Cheremule, also the mayor of Siligo, Giovanni Porcheddu, and the parish priest Davide Onida.
