A change of leadership for the Dimonios. Rosario Maria Simonetti is the new commander of the 151st Infantry Regiment of the Sassari Brigade. This morning, at the Monfenera Barracks, the handover took place with Colonel Andrea Pagliaroli, during a military ceremony attended by the Commander of the "Sassari" Brigade, Brigadier General Andrea Fraticelli.

Lined up on the "Col del Rosso" square, the unit and band accompanied the moment with the anthem and the customary salutes. "I had the pleasure of working with true professionals," said Colonel Pagliaroli, summing up his experience. "The 151st embodies the values of Sardinia's history and tradition, but it is also a regiment focused on the present, training with commitment and sacrifice to be ready when called upon."

The regiment's forces are currently deployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina and, with Operation Safe Streets, in the squares of Milan and Rome. "It's a regiment that trains seriously and with commitment to fulfill the missions assigned to it from time to time."

Colonel Simonetti assumes command of the "Dimonios" after a career characterized by training and experience abroad, in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as in NATO contexts. Colonel Pagliaroli will continue his professional career at the Army Non-Commissioned Officers' School in Viterbo, where he will assume command of the Marshal Cadet Regiment.

The unit's activities led to the awarding, in recent months, of the Silver Medal of Army Valor to the War Flag of the 151st for the UNIFIL mission in Lebanon, and for the first time since the Brigade's foundation, its infantrymen served as an Honor Guard at the Quirinale Palace, for the eightieth anniversary of the Republic.
