Three years in prison is the sentence imposed by the investigating judge of Tempio, Marco Contu, at the end of the proceeding on the case of the motorcyclist from Tempio Angelo Corsaro.
The 46-year-old man lost his life due to a frightening crash on May 24, 2018 , in the Liccia straight, on the Santa Teresa-Castelsardo road.
Corsaro was hit and killed by a car which, according to the Tempio prosecutor's office, was making a U-turn . Andrea Dessì, 32, from Capoterra , who caused the accident, again according to the prosecutor, while driving a Panda, was convicted of road homicide.
According to the investigations of the Carabinieri di Tempio, the man did not have a driving licence. For the prosecutor's consultants, the victim was passing a column of cars and suddenly Dessi's small car left the lane. For the defences, however, the motorist's responsibility is not exclusive.
