For the community of Narbolia, the new year begins exactly as it ended. On Christmas Eve, the one hundredth birthday of Mrs. Reparata Meloni was celebrated, today it was the turn of aunt Rosa Tola .

Mayor Gian Giuseppe Vargiu , on behalf of the municipal administration and the entire population, presented her with a plaque , recalling the most important stages of her life.

Rosa Tola is the mother of two children , grandmother of four grandchildren, great-grandmother of five great-grandchildren. Married at 22, widowed for 17 years and with a simple girl's life. "She collaborated with the family - says the mayor - sleeping in the countryside with her father and working since she was 8 years old. Together with her sister and a friend, they collected snails to sell them in the neighboring villages".

"As a good housewife - Vargiu highlights - she has always done what was normal before: homemade bread, sweets and a large basket workshop. A woman open to the neighborhood, with close human relationships that I still personally experience as a neighbor."
