Ready, set, go.

The great pink river of SoloWomenRun 2026 kicks off from the Cagliari Fair: 16,000 women of all ages, arriving from all over Sardinia, united in a solidarity walk on International Women's Day. A day of celebration, sharing, and participation.

“Long live women”: these are the words that resonate more than the music and whistles at the start.

From those who are here for the first time to those who have never missed an edition since the first, messages of love, freedom, and solidarity for all women are heard.

A huge celebration marked the end of the event, with the latest arrivals on the Open course and the awards ceremony for the competitive Challenge race.

On the awards stage, enlivened by music and live commentary from Radiolina—the event's media partner—the race results were also celebrated. Elisabetta Orrù of the Cagliari Marathon Club took the victory in the Challenge course, finishing with a time of 34:13. Roberta Ferru and Enrica Pintor rounded out the competition podium.

"This isn't a competition, it's a much stronger emotion," said an emotional Orrù from the awards stage. "Here, we share 16,000 stories, lives, and emotions. It's a true family." And, with a smile, she promised: "See you again next year!"
