The seasonal operational headquarters of the fire brigade was activated in Castiadas for the first time, as part of the Summer Fire Campaign.

An important presence in defense of the territory, made possible thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality, the Union of Municipalities of Sarrabus and the Provincial Command of the Fire Brigade of Cagliari.

The garrison is hosted in the premises and the internal courtyard of the headquarters of the Union of Municipalities (formerly Officine, in Castiadas Centro). A central point in the territory that guarantees immediate intervention in case of emergency and for any call.
The headquarters hosts a team of 5 operational units of the Fire Brigade, which will guarantee a continuous and rapid response service during the day, for the entire duration of the maximum fire alert period.
"This presence - said the mayor of Castiadas Eugenio Murgioni - represents an important environmental and territorial safety garrison, strategic for the protection of the most exposed areas such as Costa Rei, Castiadas and Villasimius, particularly busy in the summer. The proximity to the SS125 also ensures timely travel and rescue operations. All management and operating costs will be entirely supported by the Municipality of Castiadas, as established by the resolution of the Council of the Union of Municipalities of Sarrabus of 24 June 2025. I thank the Union of Municipalities and the Fire Brigade for having made possible - added Mayor Murgioni - this important result at the service of the safety of citizens, the territory and our visitors".
