Serious road accident this evening on the new Orientale Sarda , at kilometer 21 , immediately after the Gutturu Frascu tunnel , in the territory of Castiadas . A 74-year-old German motorcyclist was seriously injured after a collision with a car : the man lost control of the motorbike and ended up against the guard rail . In critical conditions, he was rescued by 118 personnel and transferred by helicopter to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari in red code. He is currently hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.

A 64-year-old woman, also German, was traveling with him and was injured, but her condition is not particularly worrying. She was taken to the hospital for checks.

The Carabinieri of the San Vito Radiomobile Nucleus intervened at the scene of the accident, together with their colleagues from Castiadas and Villasalto. The surveys were carried out under the coordination of Major Massimo Meloni, commander of the San Vito Company, who in the evening transmitted an initial report on the incident to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
