Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco made an unexpected visit to the San Giuseppe Calasanzio Hospital in Isili a few hours ago . This morning, the cardinal was at the Penal Colony and, accompanied by Mayor Luca Pilia, paid a brief tour of the hospital. He was accompanied by chaplain Don Antonello Demurtars and local health authority director Sergio Laconi. AVO volunteers and a few residents who learned of his visit were also present.
Cardinal Bagnasco listened to everyone's concerns, the problems facing the hospital, and in particular the shortage of doctors . During his brief visit, he visited the medical wards, visited the diabetology wards, the oncology wards, and the emergency room. Along the way, he shook hands with everyone he met and offered a word of encouragement.
