In Carbonia the fuel destruction service area was dismantled just before the entrance to the hamlet of Cortoghiana.

The area had been disused for many years and represented a situation of degradation: it was recited but over time the vegetation had completely invaded the buildings. Furthermore, it was necessary to understand whether the presence of the tanks could represent a danger.

The presence of the disused plant had also given rise to questions and questions to the municipal council from municipal councilors who wondered how that situation of degradation could exist on the sides of state road 126 and almost at the entrance to the town. Recently, the owners of the plant and the area began dismantling the structures.
