He set his dog on the police who responded to his home after a report of a domestic dispute . It happened last night in Carbonia , where officers arrested a 34-year-old unemployed man, already known to law enforcement, on charges of resisting a public official.
The alarm was raised after a call to 112 reported a violent argument between the man and his partner inside their home. Upon arriving on the scene, the Carabinieri broke up the fight, which, according to the reconstruction, broke out over trivial reasons, likely related to jealousy. During the identification process, the 34-year-old, clearly in a state of mental and physical alteration, perhaps due to the use of stimulants, displayed an aggressive attitude towards the Carabinieri officers . Ignoring the officers' attempts to calm the situation, he released his dog, setting it on them in an attempt to prevent them from carrying out the search.
The Carabinieri managed to isolate the dog in another room of the house and safely arrest the man, who was then taken to the barracks in Carbonia.
