A man with a strong civic sense and two passions: music and the history of Carbonia, the town he arrived in as a child with his family. Antonino, known to all as Nino, Mistretta, passed away today at the age of 91.

Originally from Salemi (Sicily, in the province of Trapani), he was an upright municipal employee for over 30 years. However, after leaving his clerk's role, he always took on the role of musician (he was a good violinist) and researcher, so much so that he too became a historical memory of the city's events recounted in the book "L'anello spezzato," presented two years ago in the Local History section of the Grande Minine, where he often went (along with the town hall) to carry out his research.

The municipal administration and Mayor Pietro Morittu also expressed their condolences on behalf of the city.
