Carbonia, alarm after video of waste buried in landfill

The video was published by a citizen on January 31st on the Facebook page “Sei di Gonnesa se” (even though the landfill is located in the territory of Carbonia) and the alarm exploded. It was not clear what type of waste was involved and in a few days the video exceeded three hundred thousand views. The doubts raised by users were many and concerned the type of waste treated and the disposal methods adopted.
The video also reaches the heads of the Provincial Environment Office: «We have viewed the images – they explain – from what we see it would appear to be waste treated in accordance with the authorizations, however on Monday (tomorrow , ed. ) we will carry out the appropriate checks to give a more certain answer to the people who were alarmed by seeing the video».
