The Carabinieri of the Cagliari Provincial Command completed another weekend of extraordinary checks across the province. The operation, which spanned the entire province, was coordinated by the Cagliari, Dolianova, and San Vito Companies, with the support of numerous patrols deployed along the main urban and suburban roads.
In Sarrabus, officers from the San Vito station reported a 33-year-old local man, already known to law enforcement, who, near Muravera, attempted to evade a traffic stop by fleeing in his car. After a brief pursuit, the man refused to submit to drug tests. He was also fined for various traffic violations, including driving the wrong way on a curve and speeding inappropriately for road conditions. His license was revoked, and the vehicle was impounded pending confiscation.
In the same area, Carabinieri officers from the San Vito Mobile Radio Unit fined two drivers—a 27-year-old from Muravera and a 21-year-old from Villasimius—who tested positive for alcohol with a blood alcohol level between 0.5 and 0.8 g/l. Both had their driving licenses immediately revoked and were reported to the competent administrative authority.
Meanwhile, in Parteolla, officers from the Operations and Radiomobile Unit of the Dolianova Company reported a 25-year-old resident of the town involved in a single-vehicle accident. After undergoing medical checks, the young woman tested positive for alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 1.10 g/l.
