The firefighters of the Carbonia detachment had to intervene this night for a burning car: it was a white Kia that was found completely engulfed in flames on the edge of the hamlet of Is Urigus (San Giovanni Suergiu) almost on the border with Is Gannaus which instead belongs to the Municipality of Carbonia.

According to the first investigations carried out by the firefighters together with the carabinieri of the Radiomobile arrived on the spot, the flames would be attributable to a short circuit. The hybrid-powered car belongs to a family that lives in the immediate vicinity. The alarm was given by a motorist who noticed the fire as it passed at a certain distance. However, further investigations are underway.
