A car and camper van collided head-on in Castelsardo, leaving a 49-year-old woman seriously injured.

A car and a camper van collided head-on this morning on State Road 200, between Punta Tramontana and Lu Bagnu. Three people were injured in the accident, apparently caused by a reckless overtaking maneuver.
A 49-year-old woman in the car lost consciousness several times and was resuscitated by 118 operators before being transported by air ambulance to the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari with chest trauma and multiple fractures to her pelvis and limbs.
The other two injured were two foreign tourists traveling in the camper: they were taken to the emergency room in Sassari with yellow code. In addition to the 118 emergency service, the firefighters and the Carabinieri from the Valledoria Company's mobile radio unit and the Castelsardo station intervened on the scene.
