They were saved by a passerby after someone abandoned them on a country road: seven puppies are now looking for a home.

They were rescued not far from his farm by Attilio Garau, who had already saved seven other puppies in the same spot last April. "They're probably the puppies of the same dog, because they look like the ones I found months ago," Garau says. "Who knows, perhaps the same unscrupulous person who abandoned them in April had already spotted the puppies. The puppies had already been spotted by crows; if I hadn't arrived, they probably would have been attacked. After finding the puppies, I immediately contacted the Councilor for Animal Welfare, Gaetano Crocco, who, with great sensitivity, immediately arrived at the site where they were found. The puppies were then taken into custody by the local police."

The puppies are now being cared for at a shelter in Selargius that has an agreement with the local health authority. The hope is that, after nearly dying, they will soon find new owners to care for them.
