It was a busy August 15th evening at Maddalena beach, where yesterday a man—according to initial reports, under the influence of alcohol—attacked a woman in front of several witnesses.
The man's brother was also apparently involved in the fight, attempting to act as peacemaker.
The woman, who has not yet filed a complaint against her attacker, is not said to have suffered any injuries: the man who beat her risked being lynched by the crowd , before the barracelli led first by Captain Ignazio Simone, and then by the Carabinieri, restored order.
