There were moments of apprehension this morning at Capo San Marco, in the Cabras area, where a wild goat got stuck in a particularly inaccessible area of the cliff.

The alarm was raised around 11 a.m. by two tourists who, while out walking, noticed the animal in difficulty and immediately contacted the emergency services.

A team from the Oristano fire department responded to the scene, using SAF (Speleo Alpino Fluviale) techniques to reach and rescue the goat. The animal was then transported to a safe area and handed over to veterinary staff for the necessary care.

The operation, complicated by the rugged terrain, was completed without any major incidents. The tourists who had raised the alarm watched the rescue operations with relief.
