Yet another offensive graffiti targeting Mayor Antonello Puggioni appeared today on the walls of a house on the outskirts of Calasetta. The phrase, "Mafia Mayor," adds to a series of incidents targeting the mayor for several months, with insulting messages appearing on walls and mattresses, both in town and in the surrounding areas.

Investigations are underway to identify the authors of the graffiti and shed light on the incidents , which have been repeated since last June. The majority council group supporting the municipal administration has intervened in the matter, expressing its strong condemnation and solidarity with the mayor.

In the statement, the majority also reports anonymous letters containing threats directed at Puggioni and his family , including his wife and daughters. According to the group, the incidents have been reported to law enforcement and the relevant authorities. "Calasetta will not submit to intimidation," is the position expressed by the majority, reiterating its support for the mayor and emphasizing that political debate, even heated ones, can never lead to insults and threats.

Puggioni, for his part, assured that he intends to continue along the administrative path he has undertaken, without allowing himself to be influenced by intimidation.
