The Municipality of Calangianus has ordered the demolition of a villa of about 800 square meters, with the provision published on Friday in the public notice board that indicates a three-month deadline for its execution. If the building, a valuable property, is not demolished, "after the aforementioned deadline has expired without success, the property and the area of the site will be acquired by right to the assets of the Municipality".

For the owners of the villa, on the outskirts of Calangianus, it is a problem, but also for the municipal administration that is preparing for a legal clash. The villa, owned by a local businessman (who at this stage is not under investigation for alleged urban planning violations), was built on the basis of a 2015 concession . According to the Municipality's consultants, however, it is located on a different site than the one indicated in the project, we are talking about a shift of several dozen meters. Furthermore, according to the Municipality of Calangianus, «the building in question overlaps with a road foreseen in the Municipal Urban Plan, between Zones E and C».

In short, the villa was built in an area other than that indicated in the permits and a significant portion is located on a public road . The lawyer Alberto Piccinnu assists the recipients of the demolition order, contacted he did not release statements. The lawyer has filed an urgent appeal to the TAR asking for the suspension of the demolition order and the judges will deal with the case in the coming days.
