The Sardinian Regional Administrative Court (TAR) has already scheduled a hearing for July 29th. The administrative judges will hear the key appeal regarding the Tavolara Bay real estate projects in Cala Finanza. The Sardinian-Brazilian LLC has challenged the revocation of the SEZ authorization , issued by the Department for Southern Italy, a branch of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers responsible for projects in the Special Economic Zone.

The government, as is well known, first issued (last February) and then revoked the permits for the construction of a luxury campsite and a restaurant (with a change of use) in the former Villa Joy. The revocation of the ZES was decided by the government following a significant move by the Municipality of Loiri Porto San Paolo, which had, in turn, revoked the highly contested Ordinance No. 50 of November 2026 (change of use of the Cala Finanza area). Tavolara Bay, assisted by administrative lawyers Marcello Clarich and Gian Comita Ragnedda, is seeking a ruling from the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) that would reinstate the single permit, thus making glamping with a view of Tavolara possible. The Sardinian-Brazilians recently specified that "out of respect for the judges and public bodies involved, and pending the TAR's decisions, Tavolara Bay has decided to suspend the construction of seven portable glamping sites, despite their approval. Currently, Villa Joy is used as a private residence." The company reiterates its intention to not build a hotel, villas, or golf course at Cala Finanza or in areas within 300 meters of the sea. Tavolara Bay Srl confirms its willingness to encourage a constructive and peaceful discussion, based on knowledge of the facts, with the residents and local and regional institutions.
