Two new roundabouts are coming to Cagliari . They will be operational starting Monday, March 16 , in Piazza Amendola and Piazza Deffenu . A municipal ordinance will regulate the two squares as roundabouts from March 16, 2026, to March 15, 2027.

The measure also includes the closure of the bus lane between Piazza Amendola and Largo Carlo Felice. The traffic changes are necessary to allow for the continuation of the light rail construction.

According to the ordinance, traffic in Piazza Amendola will be organized around a roundabout, traffic lights will be turned off, and a 30 km/h speed limit will be implemented. The same rules will apply in Piazza Deffenu.
